Ski Trips 2011

We were able to go skiing twice earlier this year. Our first ski trip was to Sandia and Santa Fe, New Mexico. We stayed with the Jones Family and we had such a good time. We learned that 25 year old red "cherry" ski boots can't hang on the slopes these days, especially when they have been in the garage! But, Sam's sourdough pancakes were awesome! I learned how to snowboard at Sandia and "attempted" in Santa Fe. It was fun but I spent most of my time falling than actually snowboarding. This was an exciting vacation for us since it was our first time to ski together!

This is the view from the Jones' backyard. It is amazing and so pretty!

The next few pictures are when all of us went to Santa Fe. Danielle, Colton, and Sam joined us and we had so much fun!

Our second ski trip was with some friends of ours, Meggie and Ryan. This trip was an experience!! We stayed in Meggie's family cabin, which was very nice. This cabin has been past down from generation to generation and we were lucky enough to stay there. So lucky, I thought that if we did not get the heater working, I would be sleeping in my ski clothes by the fire. We all learned a lot about each other that weekend. Ryan learned to not rely on us to cook pizza (sorry Ryan), that coming close to falling off the cliff is one of Ryan's worst fears, that loosing keys in a sweater can result in a four hour detour, and that Taos Ski Mountain requires the "wives" to look their best : ).  We did have a ton of fun and hope to make this an annual trip!
